Obviously not lol, Detroit has a bunch of much better wingers right now and the roster is full with a bunch of young guys pushing for playing time. No room for him plus he isn't worth a first round pick to Detroit, maybe another team.

I really don't see Klingberg signing under Krug contract value. At 29, signing anything else than a max term deal is just a bad idea for him

Detroit doesn't have that many better wingers than Garland

I also think if he'd take 5yrs he'd already be signed.

It’s more about the fact that Bjorkstrand was just traded for a 3rd. Trading a top ten pick for Garland AND OEL was a huge mistake. You couldn’t get a first for Garland in this market Imo.

Can’t wait for Klingberg and Myers to have a combined Even strength defense % of below 10%

That's 3 maybe 4, I'd call that not too many. Perron is kind of an x-factor because of his age imo

Larkin, Copp, Bertuzzi, Vrana and Raymond all are better than Garland, so as above that is funny.

Copp and Larkin are centers on the roster, I was referring to wingers specifically

You made it sound like they had almost nothing, they have several prospect pushing for positions. They have Perron, Rasmussen who has shown signs of coming around last year. Also Yzerman is working the cap perfectly and when this team is ready to contend in a couple of years, the team will be signed and sealed and they will be able to add without any problems.

Not denying that Yzerman is doing a good job at managing the cap, the Chiarot signing not withstanding. I expect Perron to produce like a solid top six forward next season, but I don't see Rasmussen playing any higher than the 3rd line or producing any higher than the rate of a 3rd liner. I'm pretty convinced that will be his ceiling going forward

I have, saying Tyler Meyers is not a negative asset at 6 million is somewhat a homer comment as no none is taking him on without a sweetener.

No, it's what insiders have been saying for weeks, that Myers is a positive asset. I'm not the horses mouth in this case
