Kasper > Peterka. Here’s why.
Peterka draft year 7G 4A 11pts in DEL
Kasper draft year 7G 4A 11pts in SHL...

Lmao, you never would have gotten close to this offer for a 1 spot move. It was probably a third. And JJP just had the highest ppg in a U20 season in the AHL of the past 30 years and you’re calling him a B+ prospect? Tell me you don’t know the Sabres without telling me you don’t know the Sabres.
Peterka is much further down the development path than Kasper.
While John finished 9th in AHL scoring last year, he was only
19 yo until mid January and
EVERYONE who ranked higher than he, was at least 24 yo and not considered an NHL prospect.
As mentioned above in the playoffs he also had 12 pts and 7 goals in 10 playoff games.
So when the chips were down he upped the ante!
There would be absolutely no way Karmanos would even consider Peterka for a pure prospect.
Crowe would choke Jason if he did that.
EDIT historically to move from 9th to 8th would have cost only the Sabres 3rd round pick.
BTW, I think the Sabres should have taken Kemell over Ostlund with the 16th OA pick.
I will trust that Crowe knows more about the prospects than I.
