What's the point of moving for Kulikov if you aren't playing him.

At that point, keep Timmins, keep the 3rd and scratch the guy making less.

As for Anderson..... love the guy, but not moving the kitchen sink to bail Montreal out of one of the worst contracts in the NHL. Pretty sure he is still a Hab because of that albatross. Hughes simply won't get market value right now, so better off waiting it out.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!?

I mean, Kulikov has been good for us, maybe our best defender this season (which isn't saying much, of course), but he's a 32-year-old UFA who can probably be had with retention for the price of that third (and maybe another, tops). Timmins has his whole career ahead of him and my understanding is that he's playing into the team pretty nicely, plus he's the harder-to-obtain RhD. Sure, I'll take that offer, but I'll feel pretty guilty about it . . .

That wouldn't even get you a sniff of Anderson's jock strap!! Starting price without retention is a 2023 1st.

wrong, everyone wants him, his price starts at the #1 overall pick and the a time machine to bring prime Wayne Gretzky to the present so he can play for the Habs.

If Anderson was worth a 2023 first, one of the deepest drafts in a long time, he would be moved by now

its because all i see on here is ridiculous josh anderson trades on here and it absolutely boggles my mind how any habs fans can objectively believe that he's worth half of what they do. I saw a Habs fan genuinely believe that Anderson is worth more than Lafreniere today, just as an example.

Two horrid trades for Leafs. Keep the promising Timmins (I'm really surprised he's played so well.0 What don't Habs fan understand, Anderson probably isn't worth 3.5m and you expect the Leafs to give up anything for him? Dream on.

why would the habs retain 10 million to have him play in toronto... when they dont need the cap space, get nothing of value in return, andknowing the cap in significantly increasing in the next few seasons which will reduce any issues with his cap hit...Or is this just them trying to help out toronto by trading them a winger how has experience after the first round?

Hughes will continue to hold out for what he feels he can get, which worked out pretty well last year, and if he doesnt end up finding a taking for anderson then we live with is contract 5.5mil is not breaking a teams cap that is still rebuilding.

I would personally rather have Pierre Engvall than Josh Anderson when considering contracts. And looking at this below, I'm not even sure contract statuses need to be involved...

Engvall is UFA after the season so not a burden in this MAX CAP CRUNCH era. It should be easy to extend him for Toronto at a very reasonable rate.

Since last season :

Anderson : 94 GP 26 G 15 A 41 Pts (0.44 PPG) 16:42 TOI/GP, 1:56 PP TOI/GP

Engvall : 105 GP 19 G 23 A 42 Pts (0.44 PPG) 13:01 TOI/GP, 0:35 PP TOI/GP

Don't blame them too much, medias are very intense here.

Wild trade.

TOR sends an AHL player to acquire him, he's fit in very well, just to turn around and move him (with a pick) for an older player with no team control after this year.

This site is funny.

Edit: You know what, you should feel guilty!
