absoustly not from the avs

swapping LOC for Athanasiou is a downgrade and in the process downgrade picks while taking on more cap, awful for the avs

I’m surprised you didn’t try and get Oskar Olausson or Victor Oloffson, or Jake Oettinger to go along with Othmann, O’Conner & Ohgren, Oh my.

HOW? pick ~#30 in 2023 vs pick ~#35 in 2024....that alone is a joke. It's not even worth using a retention slot let alone another 2nd in 2023 and a player.

we are just making up randomly value of picks now.
and 1st to 2nd round is a down grade no matter how you look at it. 1st round...2nd round. Also the 2023 1st round is more valuable than the 2024 2nd.

Out of these seriously hawk slanted moves, that is what you are getting upset about? I dont even care about the picks, but AA for LOC is just an easy decline by the avs, that alone doesnt make one ounce of sense

The details matter to me. Maybe they don't to you. Ok, that's fine. Of course it's a downgrade. going from pick #31 to pick #32 is a downgrade. But that value isn't the same as going from #1 to #2. You know all this. Forget any of the players moving up from the VAN 2nd to the COL 1st isn't likely worth the TBL 2nd round pick ALONE. So, why are the Hawks going out of their way to help the Avalanche both in players and picks? Doesn't make any sense at all.

LOC is has more value than AA. He also is cheaper this year and has an extra year of term at a great cap hit.

The picks basically would have the Avs moving back 30th picks in 2023 and getting a second in 2024. I’d prefer to keep the 1st.

That's an easy no for the Avs. Adding AA wouldn't be a bad move if they could do it somehow but not at that price, and LOC for AA is at best a lateral move whilst giving up a 1st in a deep draft for a probable late 2nd in the same draft and another second. No real value here to the Avs.

The 2023 draft class is leaps and bounds better than 2024

The hawks are not helping the avs in players and picks, the avs getting an older more expensive pending ufa winger who can’t play defense for the avs younger signed winger who is one of their top pkers, good defensively, etc etc

Also the hawks get the most valuable pick. The 2023 1st rounder. The 2024 and 2025th are must weaker drafts, you arent moving up in value in picks in 1 draft, you are trying to buy a 2023 1st pick. There is a major different in trade value of these picks

Aa is worth around a 4th round pick as a rental. You are upgrading picks to the 2023rd 1st and getting a a good young player with term with a low aav

I like to pay attention to the details as well

Incredibly easy NO THANKS from the Rangers. Don't want a Kane rental at anywhere near that cost.

Do you see you're own contradiction here? You attempt to call me out for making up "random value of picks now" for draft slots because we KNOW some teams are good, we KNOW some are bad, and there's a clear track record of value for these picks, BUT you're allowed to assign facts to entire draft classes before they play 1 minute in the NHL??? This is literally saying...Coga's allowed to have it one way, but Exo can't have it the same way as Coga.

The Hawks get nothing out of this. The team above on this post has 7 AHLers on it. Put Makar on this team and they're still in last place. Put 1 AHLer on COL and the rest of the team can make up for it. The Hawks had been doing that for YEARS. We have plenty of Logan O'Conners. He's not needed or wanted. We don't have any Makars or MacKinnons...that's more of the problem the Hawks have.

That minny trade is really funny. Domi gets a 3rd at best. Plus he’s a thug. When’s the last time he dropped te gloves with a willing opponent? Most often he jumps someone on the ice.

So a 1st round pick for Domi? That's way too much!
