Retain more (50%) on Boeser and the Canes would trade that package for him. An absolute pipe dream to think JTM to the Canes is realistic.

Canes probably see Miller as a 4.5-5.5m AAV player.

I don’t think you’d get a 1st for Schenn. Even taking back the Reilly contract. 2nd at best I’d say.

Since when are PPG players worth 4.5-5.5M? Miller’s contract may not be great, but it’s not as bad as people make it out to be. Especially when you have players like Kotkaniemi making 4.8M for 8 years

Personally I don't make that Boston trade if I am Vancouver. Cost to dump cap is high, the 1st (which is 2024) is likely a low round pick and the Canucks can likely get a fairly high 2023 2nd for Schenn without taking cap back.
