I mean, setting aside the real life consequences of what happened with Kivi, something that you just can't measure how big of an effect it had, whether it's massive or negligible to Elvis' on ice performance since.
2 things stand out
1. The defense is far worse than when he was playing well. Aside from the direct impact bad defense has on a goalie, it's also gonna have a mental impact leading to trying to make up for it and leading to his often mentioned positional issues. I've seen a not insignificant portion of the fanbase call him a headcase, which is just completely insensitive, but he does have major issues with getting madly off rhythm because of a bad goal or 2 and just imploding afterwards. I can't think of how many times he's played fantastic for nearly a full period, only to give up a softie in the late 1st/early 2nd and just go disaster mode after.
2. In all honesty, the sample size of his great play as a rookie and a bit afterwards was not all that large. Basically any goalie can look good over a sample size of that range, so as much as I like him and want to see him get back, it's entirely possible that he was just always gonna be a replacement level goalie or worse who happened to catch a nice hot streak early on.
