Sabres would pass imo
Don’t see them being interested in Allen at all

Dvorak doesn't get PLD.

Huberdeau doesn't waive for Montreal.

And Bergeron either resigns in Boston, Or retires not wasting his time with a rebuilding Montreal team.

LOL under pay Pierre-Luc Dubois and over pay Bergeron.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly.

DuBois >>> Dvorak

They were interested last summer. Allen has faced an insanely high expected goals against in his time in MTL. Numbers suggested with an even mediocre defense in front of him he'd succeed. For a third round pick, I'd take a chance on him. Especially if he's replacing Comrie.

PLD is going to hold out in the RFA process because he wants to go to Montreal so Dvorak is the highest value they'll get, Bergeron is from Montreal and would potentially take money to be a veteran presence, Huberdeau would waive for Montreal - hometown, overpay for Bergeron to add incentive to come (plus what else are you gonna do with that cap) and team-friendly deal for PLD because he wants to play there

Oilers say no they picked up Elkholm making their LD strong no reason to take on 3.5M for another LD especially if they give up a 1st for it.

PLD is RFA, so he cannot choose his next team, like Patrick Kane did. This is not how it works.
The Bruins legend Patrice Bergeron is going to Montreal on discount ?

I want some of the same stuff you are having.

to be fair, if Bergeron were open to playing anywhere but Boston he would easily get $7M on the open market

As a Habs fan, Bergeron will never leave the Bruins for another team (confirmed by Kent Hughes himself) and Dubois will never sign a low extension like that.......

A lot wrong here but maybe the silliest of all is the idea that we’d trade for Huberdeau or that Calgary would trade him. And the day Dubois is wearing a sweater other than ours will be a great one, so these absurd rumours die.
