Kinda expected Babcock to return, but Columbus was not the team I expected that to happen with.

Columbus deciding to take a step backwards than forwards by hiring Babcock

Rip Laine, Rip Gaudreau, Rip the young players

He gonna make them write lists and make 0 adjustments during the game

If the jackets hired Babcock in 2010, they would be Stanley cup favourites

wtf is wrong with Kekkäläinen he's been taking L after L after L lately
Gudbranson signing
Dealing Björkstrand for peanuts in order to fit Gudbranson's cap
No defence
Zero goaltending
Replacing one poor coaching hire in Larsen with an even worse one

No no no no no no no no no no no no

I seriously wonder who Dubas would try to poach from Toronto. In my eyes, the two most obvious ones are Pridham and Clark. It seems like a certainty that Clark is going to be ousted sooner rather than later just based on the fact that a new GM would want to bring in his guy to scout (which I wouldn't be upset with), but losing Pridham would suck. I'm not a huge fan of the narrative that Dubas' people are loyal to him and him alone though. I don't think we'll see all these sweeping changes this offseason, but Treliving is going to build the front office to his liking so some turnover is expected.

At this point I really don't care, just get us a solid shot at winning and I'll be happy.

He went from orchestrating a literal franchise changing trade in the form of the Jones trade to just some mediocre hockey dude. I also really didn't like Columbus signing Gaudreau, they needed to just trust the process and build a young team. They were doing so well...

“Hey Leo, how would you rank these players on how much you want them on your line?”

Pridham was hired by Shanahan and was here since the Lou days. Dubas promoted him and they worked well together but if anything you could argue he's Shanahans guy. Got a feeling it would be Clark

As watch Shanny create some vice president role and give it to Pridham lul if Dubas tried to ask to interview him. Or heck Pridham could be Leafs president next season as Shanahan deals up by then

Babcock is definitely an interesting hire but today’s players are a whole different breed and he will either adjust to them or fail.

Babcock? Adjust? Good one!

This is going to be a disaster

Nolan Patrick is gonna have a cup before Nico Hischier checkmate fans of a hockey team residing in the worst place on earth aka New Jersey

Patrick has not played 41 regular season games nor a single game in playoffs. Should Vegas win the cup, they would need to petition the league to recognize him as cup winner and add his name to trophy panel.

But good try, Flyer fan.

Actually, I would disagree, it’s certainly an interesting look on Nichuskin but nothing illegal seems to have happened and the woman seems to have played a part in her own problem, now we’ll never know the full story but this seems like a story that if Nichuskin wasn’t an NHL player, would get like 1 small report on and forgotten forever

Maybe it’s just me but I’m thinking the jets and Flyers should be trade partners.

They both have retool/rebuild desires, they both have decent depth, and they both have desired assets, but the ages are staggered between the two:

Hellebuyck v Hart

Provorov, Scheifele, Dubois, Konecny are all around that same skill tier but all at different parts of their career, but mostly similar contract situations.

Is there a monster hockey trade here that lets each team meet its individual goals?

Something like Jets give a bit younger player or two, and a mid aged player, flyers give a mid aged player or two and an older one. Jets better today, flyers better tomorrow.
