I'm about to simulate the draft lottery and then post the results of the simulation here? Why? Because why not?

Alright, here are the results of the simulation:

1 - Anaheim
2 - Montreal
3 - Columbus
4 - Chicago
5 - San Jose

Everyone else stays where they are going into the lottery

Well a lot of factors just besides him would have to happen but yes

Think of it like a puzzle, you got all the pieces just need to put them together

they need two of Drysdale/Zellwegger/Mintyukov to become top pair defenseman and theyll be set. Even with Bedard and the forward core they won't make the playoffs next season. The goal should be to make the playoffs in the 24-25 season.

I think 2025-2026 is a better frame but yea they got all the right pieces and cap they just need to not **** this up

But yea if all goes well and they get him like NJ they gonna start making noise

i'll just drop this here, apropos of nothing, but, to me, the answer to "is the league front office rigging the draft lottery?" very much has a giant lit neon sign pointing to Hanlon's Razor (a.k.a. "they're not evil, they're just incompetent").

they bungle almost everything else that they're nominally in charge of; expecting them to successfully pull off the rigging of a draft lottery is a very big leap of logic to me.

(now, i also think the league should scrap the lottery and adopt the Gold Plan, because it really would just resolve so many problems, but that's neither here nor there.)
