I feel like I've seen ACGM's asking this question like a hundred times over the past 12 hours and the answer will always be (literally no matter what since chicago is rebuilding) no.

I'd be lying if one of my first thoughts after Weekes said we were third was "well, at least I don't have to read proposals from Montreal fans all summer trying to trade for him."

Yea no CBJ would have to be brainless to accept this trade and give up Jiricek in the process. They’ll still end up with Carlsson though which isn’t a bad consolation under any circumstance. Sucks they got the ****ty end of the stick though lol.

Yeah not really interested in this from a jackets perspective. More than happy with carlsson. Jiricek is the best defensive prospect in the league maybe even the best overall prospect in the league depending how you feel about Cooley. Then adding another good pick this year and potentially another top 5-10 pick next year is a lot. If bedard didn’t turn out as good as mcdavid/Sid this trade would be a disaster for the jackets

Jiricek and those 3 1sts will turn out to be more impactful than 1 Bedard. Its gonna take a heck of a lot more than Bedard for Chicago not to be a bottom of the league team
