If you get reasonable people on here that agree...why shouldn't it be called a movement? I'm sure there can be minor variations to this. No one knows what the EXACT trade will be, but in general...I like it too.

Hahaha yea I’d really be happy with that trade those are 3 very beneficial picks for us that would instantly be a boost to our prospect pool. Also I’d rather have 3 chances to hit on 1 A prospect than a 50/50 at 14th OA. (Maybe it’s more 60/40 then 50/50 in this case but still, u get the idea lol.)

The Colton signing is open for a bit of an adjustment, but I don't think it'll be too much more than this at all.

Marchment got a 4x4.5, but he scored 47 points in 54 games. Ross Colton isn't really that close to Marchment's pending UFA season and Ross Colton is an RFA.

With Tampa's GMs end of season availability presser. This core is mostly under contract or control next year (exception being Killorn) I expect this team to be Cup contenders next year and several going forward. Which puts them in a better place to win now? Colton or 2 3rd round picks Julien Brisebois has shown no desire to trade away established players for picks at worst Colton is a really good 3rd liner ceiling is top line guy. Colton is better than Raddysh.

True, but to counter, what helps more. Cap flexibility now or cap flexibility in 2 years? All depends on what other moves they want to make.

I'm not disagree with you entirely. TBL is in a win now position FOR SURE. I could adjust this trade too. Maybe taking back Seabrook adds flexibility. Are you looking to sign Jeannot? Would you like Killorn back? There's a ton of variation that can go on with the team and the trade. I doubt TBL can sign all (3) of Killorn/Colton/Jeannot

I like most of this. I would probably pass on dealing with Tampa for Colton specifically and in general as I just don't want to help a team whose first round pick we hold. The Toronto trade, I would make them give back our '24 5th as punishment for so many of their fans posting AGM's with the Hawks moving up 4 or 5 spots from the Hawk 2nd to the Boston 1st to take Murray. I like the Pitts trade. A pretty steep price to grab another pick in the middle 1st, but at some point there is still plenty of quantity in the Hawk drafts to try to flip some into quality. We had 8 top 100 picks last draft and currently sit at 9 this draft with likely a few moves to make. At some point even with several likely to bust, you still run into limited spots for all those picks to have any chance of developing or playing. I know having to many prospects develop into players is some real world problems to have, but I would rather take a swing at higher end with all the swings we have lined up.

Killorn is gone. Unless he gives an I want to retire here massive discount. No offense to Killorn are you better with 2 maybe 3 more years of Killorn or giving 5-7 to Colton?

Killorn is most likely gone. I'd like to see the Hawks make a run at him as a UFA to play w/ Bedard. As stated previously, if Colton is willing to take $2.5m per season, he definitely stays in Tampa. Bolts can afford $2.5m for Colton, Jeannot @ $1.8m and fill out remaining roster spots with guys on ELC's or vets on $900K deals. They have the space for this.

What do you guys think Colton signs for? I don't think Killorn wants to go to the Hawks at 34 years old. I'd be willing to bet Stamkos and co. convince him to stay. He's more important than Ross Colton.

Heck, you want a veteran back...why not Tyler Johnson 50% retained?

I feel like Colton looks to cash in. Two really solid seasons back to back playing mostly 3rd line minutes. I think he's asking for at least $3.5m per, which Tampa can't afford if they want to keep Jeannot as well. I've watched almost every Tampa game the past 4 years since moving to FL. Colton is worth $3.5m per. Really good player. Definitely better than TRad.

Sorry, forgot this. I'd throw a 2 year, $7m per offer at Killorn and see what happens. Who knows? A big payday may sway him.

I mean...it's probably why they kept him over TRad. I agree he's really good. It's just a tough needle to thread. Want to win now would suggest signing Killorn. Hard to argue he isn't the best of the group today. I guess I'm just suggesting there's something to discuss here. Maybe it's a better trade? Maybe it's a higher pick? There should be a discussion between KD and JBB.

Yeah, I could see the a big offer maybe doing that. I just think he'll want to win more. Who knows???

Honestly I could see a one year cheap deal for Colton with an extension agreement in place come January kind of a 1 year cap circumvention thing
