1.
WPG
  1. Krebs, Peyton
  2. Luukkonen, Ukko-Pekka
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (BUF)
  4. 2024 1st round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
There's more attractive prospect pieces, but I think Chevy goes the quantity over quality route in this one.
2.
WPG
  1. Cossa, Sebastian
  2. Veleno, Joseph [RFA Rights]
  3. 2023 1st round pick (NYI)
  4. 2023 2nd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Husso may make more sense, however I doubt he waives his NMC to come to Wpg
DET
3.
WPG
  1. Grans, Helge
  2. Petersen, Cal
  3. Turcotte, Alex
  4. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
  5. 2025 2nd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
Petersen would be motivated to waive his NMC instead of playing in the AHL. Turcotte might be able to become 2nd line C immediately, Grans gives the Jets a decent RHD prospect.
LAK
    For Helly and Stanley
    4.
    WPG
    1. Nemec, Simon
    2. Vanecek, Vitek
    Additional Details:
Nemec is only a year removed from being taken 2nd overall, him and an overpriced Vanacek are all you'd get back for Helly. NJ would most likely try avoid moving Nemec though, but you gotta pay to play.

Detroit doesn't even take that call. We'll just wait and sign Helly as a FA in a year when he comes home...

Detroit passes, As of right now Cossa is untouchable. We can wait and sign Helly for free in the summer of 2024. Should he decide that he wants to come home.

whole lotta overpays. Hellebuyck is obviously great but goalies just don't get a premium in today's NHL, especially one just a year away from UFA

He has stated he wants to win, which is definitely not happening in Detroit.

The Helly trades are all good. The Helly and Stan to NJD makes the most sense and I like the best.

Sabres decline. Lot of Fa goalies available. Levi going to be ready in 2 years. Not paying that for a rental. Look at these playoffs. Goalies are inconsistent.

Devils just keep Nemec and build a defensive powerhouse in front of whatever goaltender that becomes competent enough to stop the puck. We’re building something special here. No need to give up our top talent. If you wanna talk Casey/Gritsyuk I’m all ears.

I was thinking about doing something similar with Helle options but I think you missed a couple teams here and I think the ask would be different.

Missed Pittsburgh and they are one of the most likely landing spots as they try to cash in on the Crosby Malkin twilight. Helle & Heinola for 14oa and Pickering.

For Buffalo I think we’d want 13oa, ostlund and then we’d take Comrie back.

Devils may make the most sense and Helle to the Devils is really easy to market. I think we’d need to add significantly to get Nemec, which I would but maybe Vanacek & Holtz could be had.

For Ottawa I’d want Ridley Greig and 2024 1st. I think they want to keep Stutzle, Norris and Pinto as their Cs so Greig could be expendable.

Kings are another option where I’d be looking to add to get Clarke, but would be a long shot like Nemec. Taking back a massive multi year cap dump in Peterson would also cost a significant piece.

Oilers could be another option with Skinner getting pulled every second game in the playoffs.

Luke, Nemec, Holtz and Gritsyuk are likely off the table. The best prospects that are likely available from NJ are:

      LW: Foote, Filmon
      C: Bardakov, Salminen
      RW: Clarke, Thompson, Stillman, Hauser
      LD: Vilen, Edwards
      RD: Walsh, Casey, McCarthy
      G: Daws, Brennan, Malek

Throw in Stanley in the Sabres trade or take out the 2nd and works for me. (I'd still do it with the 2nd in, but value wise think the Sabres should get the defenseman thrown in too)

All those trades look reasonably fair, good stuff 👍👍

Wonder what either side would think of a Nylander-Helly based deal....maybe Samsonov's rights are included if you're looking to get a tendy back.
