Tampa says yes so quick and blocks Buffalos number before they have a chance to take it back

What is? That they aren't going to waive their NMC to move across the continent? This is not specifically about Buffalo, it's in general

When you say "for buffalo" it's the definition of specifically

If his Olofson's cost was a 3rd+4th, Preds would do that. A 2nd is too steep IMO.

Are they not being traded to Buffalo in this acgm? If it offends you so much I'll go and edit the post. But I say that Markstrom isn't going to waive in every post involving him, and even though Weegar's NTC hasn't kicked in yet he won't waive after it does, plus he's simply not available

There is a difference between bold moves and stupid moves. If you are the Buffalo Sabres GM, every single one of these trades is a stupid move that would get you fired.

What about a counter offer? I don't really have interest in UPL since we have Alnefelt. What about Colton and Myers for Krebs and Stillman? Or somehow involve Savoie in the trade, whether that means adding from our side or not?

Just ignoring the trades themselves... this proposal gives them about 8M the following year to extend Dahlin, Power, Levi, Mittelstadt, DIllon and potentially Lyubushkin and/or Stillman.

Yeah, no. You’re not getting blue chip prospects in return for a third line player, and a defenseman that was on waivers during the season and nobody wanted him. Division rivals rarely make significant trades together anyway.

I have a hard time seeing the Flames entertain offers on Weegar at this point unless it is a massive overpay. As others have mentioned NMCs complicate things, and Markstrom just had a kid so moving to a new city might be something he prefers to not deal with.

How about you relax some and read what I wrote. I'm well aware of the hesitation for trading within one's own division. Does Tampa win the trade proposed by OP? Yes. Buffalo is giving up a lot in Krebs and UPL, yes, but I stated that Tampa would likely have little interest in UPL given Vasilevskiys status, and with Hugo Alnefelt on the rise. So my counter proposal was Colton and Myers for Krebs and Stillman. But I said that I would be willing to add. I also said I'm interested in Savoie. But again, I also mentioned I would be willing to and most certainly need to add to a trade of that level. But you for some reason decided to forgo the remark about me wanting to make a fair trade for both sides.

And I think you’ve missed that Buffalo doesn’t want your third liner and waiver caliber defenseman if it will cost them anyone of actual value. Krebs has more potential value than both of them put together already. I think a lot of Colton Ross’s production has more to do with playing for Tampa than it does what he actually can do. If someone trades for him I think they will find he does not produce at the same level for them. He’s already in an ideal situation, and once you take him away from that he won’t give you the same game again. Buffalo just acquired Stillman and has no reason to want to move him. Considering what the Sabres want I don’t think Tampa is the ideal trade partner anyway. Buffalo isn’t looking for more draft picks, they want to win now. I doubt Tampa is interested in helping them do that.
