Gunna be hilarious when we find out the Sabres never once made an offer for hellebuyck and he goes to NJ for Vanacek, sharangovich and a conditional 1st

LA says no. Change Vilardi to Spence, Durzi, ****emo, or Kupari (or similar) and the Kings would do it.

I wouldn't trade Vilardi for PLD 1-for-1.

I wish there weren't so many old man centers that teams expect to get a massive haul from the Jackets for right now.

I would take this deal if it is on the table

These trades generally result in Vilardi being the Jets’ 1C. If Vilardi was good enough to be a 1C why wouldn’t the Kings just keep him?

Because Vilardi can't stay healthy or consistent enough to be a 1C.

Los Angeles can't afford to add $8.5 million in cap. Right now we have $7.34 million in cap space (against which Vilardi currently doesn't count) and 6 open roster slots.

For the record, Winnipeg's own blogger at The Athletic suggests a LA trade for PLD should be Vilardi + Arvidsson + 3rd for PLD and Logan Stanley.

There is no universe where PLD returns Vilardi and a 1st. As I said above, I wouldn't do Vilardi for PLD straight up.

I just don't see Buffalo giving up quality assets for a one year rental even if it is Helly. They are not going to offer anyone a 8x$10MM contract when they are looking to sign another long term sweetheart deal with Dahlin and then Powers as soon ad July 1st hits. After the steals of deals they got with Thompson and Cozens, they can not offer all the cash to an outsider no matter how good they might be. And we haven't really had a good look at Levi yet. Not to mention Quinn, Peterka, Kulich, Savoie and all the rest. The Sabres will likely play it quiet for another year to see what the youth can do then make moves to fill in the holes.

Jeff Marek flat out said on his show today the Sabres wont do anything. Strictly about the draft and develop

Man that’s horrible. There are reports the Jets might Buy-Out Wheeler and you think the Capitals are going to trade the 40th Overall Pick for him? Delusional.

Terrible trade for WSH.

Because all Kings fans know that Vilardi is a RW and not a Center lol
