Atlantic getting tougher. Reaves/Clifford in Toronto, Lucic/Greer in Boston, MacEwen/Imama in Ottawa, Xhekaj in Montreal.

It's league min so who cares, but 3 year deals for below replacement level guys is just bad business.

If the plan is to go Imama-Kastelic-MacEwan, that's instantly the meanest 4th line in the league, but they're really asking Jesus to carry a LOT of the burden on the whole "playing hockey" aspect of things. Thank god Kasty is like 60% on draws, because they're gonna see a whole lot of D zone draws.

Don't love what this means for Sokolov's odds at making the team. I had him penciled in at 4RW.

Ottawa's also got Brady and Kastelic.

Great signing. OTT getting more young grit to replace Watson and at league min is a steal for 3 years

Totally forgot about Kastelic. I'm a Leaf fan obviously but I love his game. Same as his dad.

It’s league minimum so whatever. 3 years though is not great though.

Does this mean that their 4th lien will be Imama-Kastelic-MacEwen?

Realistically it's hard to have all above replacement level players and MacEwen won't play every game. So at league min for a 13th forward is ok to me. They can call up for a more skilled replacement like Sokolov unless he really impresses in camp. Imama probably spends most of his time in Belleville unless MacEwen gets hurt or they want to show the Leafs how soft their team is 😂

This is a good signing because it is league minimum and can be buried.

Only way it turns into a bad signing is if we hit the 50 contract limit at any point over the next 3 seasons and we need to make room.

I don't think so, Imama probably spends most of his time in Belleville seeing its a 2 way contract

When he's on the ice he has a negative impact, maybe he's good in the locker room, but I voted no based on his on ice impact.

This guy has had an amazing NHL career for someone who was never drafted. That said, I think he's playing in the AHL.

It was 3 years, 1 way. He's not playing in the AHL lol. Although he may get the Ross Johnston treatment. Stays up but barely plays.

He played in the AHL last year and I think he will dip into the AHL this year.

1way contract at the minimum is not a hindrance to him playing in the minors. It can be buried with zero repercussions. He is a healthy scratch most of the time, even the 3 years isnt an issue cost wise.

He played the first 2 games of the year in the AHL and that's it. Flyers brought him up and kept him up. Kings even kept him up. They signed Imama for Belleville.
