Even if I agreed with you, which I won't, I'll go with your opinion.... is buch so much better that the leafs should be adding a first?? No. The price increase is way too steep even if Buch was a bit better. This trade makes no sense for Toronto and also really doesnt fit the blues timeline

I don't think this is realistic for either side. TOR shouldn't have to include a 1st. Blues shouldn't be interested in Nylander to begin with. Buchnevich has an extra year of term and lower cap hit. Let's just part ways and stop making Nylander for Buchnevich trades.

Buch would be good for the leafs but this trade is severely off on the value. And I'm not sure Nylander is what the blues really need or are looking for necessarily... Bad trade partners.

I won’t lie that makes no sense for either team. Blues are in cap hell so taking on extra cap is a horrible idea, and this just makes Toronto worse overall.

Buch is signed for an extra year at a bargain and Toronto is the one that is significantly over the cap….The Blues aren’t trading for another winger so this whole thing is moot.
