I am always cautious of "reported" asks. We've seen a lot of that go 'poof' lately. I agree that a 1st by itself, unless it were a potential top 5 pick, would not be acceptable. Pesce would get at least that much at the TDL.

I think moving Pesce to acquire Karlsson is part of the plan. It may take time for all of the pieces to align. You know how slow that can move. But all of the GM's involved, as well as players with clauses, need to be in agreement. I'm patient.

I would think Nylander would be more than happy to extend with NYR. Affording him might be an issue but he almost definitely would be willing.
