Far from irrelevant. He holds good value on the penalty kill and as a 7D more than Freidman or Butcher, plus is younger than both with room to improve. Also had a solid 17 points 54 games in the AHL. Obviously isn't a flashy pickup but it's better depth for Pittsburgh than what they currently have.

Dom does AHL? That's amazing

Weird Vegas claimed Denisenko, waived him but Florida didn't claim him back

Could be misunderstanding it but I think Stoller just uses Dom's model for NHL and plugs it in with slight tweaks for the AHL

He hasn’t been good in the AHL and There’s probably no path for Denisenko to make the NHL with the panthers

Two big resigning's, lot of waiver activity, now all that's left is trades.

Who doesn't love roster submission day?

Really surprised both guys in WPG signed now

Based on his comments looked like Hellybuck was on his way out. Deals great for him but WPG gonna get maybe 2-3 good years of it before he falls off most likely

Not surprised with Scheifele but honestly WPG should have looked to retool. They have been drafting well so I would have went a new direction

that was out of left field, good for WPG's fans tho

on the topic of the deals? they both suck unless both players do not regress in the next 8 years

Hellybucyk probs will get 2-3 good years out of that deal

Scheiefle maybe 4 or 5.

Hellebuyck should be competitive until atleast his mid 30's. Scheifele is going to age badly IMO

Thats why I said 2-3 years for Hellybuyck as he will be 31 when the deal starts

Usually Goalies tip off at 33 to 34 with some rare guys just being good till they retire.

But yea dropoff with him probs will happen at 33-34

Scheiefle probs will have a few more productive years by his standards than fizzle out once the youth comes in

Still feel WPG should have went the rebuild direction

They got good young pieces and could have continued drafting and developing

Hellebuyck deal is fine, too much term but that always happens with big deals, Scheifele though, yikes, not worth 8.5 and too much term, they better hope he doesn't regress and actually meshes well with the team (unlike the cancer he allegedly is)

Scheifele deal pretty much guarantees Lindholm will get $9 mil AAV in Calgary or he is taking a massive discount to stay there

I think he should get closer to Hertl

Hertl is a good comp

Using the 9.98% of the cap when he signed that deal, that would make it $8,752,460 AAV (assuming next year is at $87,700,000 as per Elliotte Friedman).

JT Miller was 9.58%
Suzuki was 9.66%
Scheifele will be 9.69%.
R. Thomas was 9.73%
Hertl 9.98%
Horvat and Dubois were 10.18%
Larkin was 10.55%
Aho will be 11.12%

So, Lindholm is easily going to be around $8,770,000 at a minimum.

Good news for him, bad news for the Sabres in the long term. Too much money on one player, cap hell coming soon.

This contract is very comparable to Eichel or Subbans 10m and 9m contracts in their time. Now i would consider Eichels contract a steal and back then it wasn't ever really that bad....i think its actually very fair for Dahlin as well as for the sabres. with the cap going up it will benefit us a lot.

Awesome list, but didn’t Kartye score a goal in the playoffs (maybe not)

Also Cowan was 28th overall

It's strictly Regular season because for some reason people only care about regular season stats
