2nd is going the wrong way in the Dvorak trade. You’d have to pay the Canucks to take on that contract

A 2025 1st, bad RHD, and PR nightmare doesn’t get you close to Bouchard

LMAO at the CBJ trade. That is ridiculously too much for Petry. Especially for a team in CBJ's current situation.

Getting Boqvist defeats the purpose in trading Petry. Touche.

Someone is jealous that the Oilers will never trade the Canucks a RHD. Its well over the value of Bouchard whos one dimensional. PR nightmare lmao go to bed kiddie.

hahaha that bouchard trade is so funny

Cap space and 1st round picks are funny these days.. huh?!? What you think he's worth 5 1st rounders?!? That is 2 1sts rounders and a top4 D that actually plays defensive playoff hockey.

Sure whatever you want to tell yourself, but its a bad trade that cbus wouldn't even consider.

You know this how? Jarmo's history shows otherwise. When Boqvist shows he can play in more than half the games in a season and not be a liability worse than Gudbransson we will talk.

So you want us to take your 35yr old defenseman, and for this favour you also want us to pay Montreal a 3rd and a young top 4 dman......No.

You made your bed, now go to sleep.

Petry is a cap dump lol. Besides the fact that the jackets don’t need RDs (especially overpaid 35 year old ones) why would they give up boqvist for him let alone add to him lol. Gotta be a troll

Stop lol, there is a reason we see Boqvist to the Habs in like 5 ACGM posts a day. He isn't a C level prospect/player, he is a future top 4 Dman PP specialist at his ceiling and at his floor he is a 5-6 Dman and PP specialist.

Also what in Jarmo's history says otherwise?

Classic make a trade proposal and immediately start negging the player you made the proposal for.

How is Petry a cap dump at 2.3 million? He's still a useful 4-5 dman and at that AAV would be making below market value according to every analytic model

We have zero need or want for him.

then the Habs should have no problem finding a team that wants him and is willing to give assets for him, the Jackets arent that team

This retention puts him at 3,687,500 for 2 (TWO) years. Have you seen players being traded this summer with cap hits like this for any return? Ryan Johansen got nothing in return when going to Colorado at 50% retained at 4mil for 2 years remaining, Taylor Hall practically got moved for nothing when being traded to Chicago with 6 mil AAV for 2 more years, and Kevin Hayes got 0 return when being traded to St. Louis with 3.5mil AAV left for 3 years. The answer is absolutely not that Petry get any much of a return if he is traded again. Petry also doesn't want to be in Canada you have 0 leverage in a situation like this.

I forgot he was retained by the Pens. His cap hit at 3.8 million is probably about what he is worth. He should be flipped to a playoff team who needs defensive help. Doesn’t fit the jackets needs especially at this price. Boqvist is younger, better, cheaper and the jackets have a surplus of RD so adding another doesn’t make sense for them
