For those offers the Habs will get no return.

As has already been state close to a million times this offseason, the Hawks do not need a goalie. If you want to trade your excess goalie to the Hawks be sure to ADD a draft pick(s) that will suitably entice Chicago enough to eat the cap hit. Be sure to consider the per year cap amount, the actual $$ to be paid and the # of years remaining on the contract.

Hawks decline. Some team might give you a pick for DeSmith but it won't be the Hawks.

We have nowhere for Petry to play, and you won't get a teams top 3 prospect for him either. No thank you

NSH wouldn't consider that even if the Caps were to agree. NSH is in the middle of a soft-rebuild right now and are not in the business of giving up assets to get veteran pieces who don't have a long term place on the team. Not only that, but Mantha would take up a spot that could be utilized by a young player NSH wants to play in for NHL experience, like Kemell or L'Heuruex. Just doesn't make sense for NSH, and with only one retention spot left, NSH would rather use that on a defenseman like Barrie at the deadline to get a strong return than what Mantha could give.

If nashville did want mantha, they take him as a capdump with sweetener. We have almost 8 mil in capspace. We dont pay for retention we dont need
