I honestly don't know where to start.

I guess I will leave it at this. If this team wanted to get significantly older in order to compete sooner, I think there are more realistic moves they could make which would cost them less.

Werenski isn't available. The Jackets want to be competitive just as much as you want the Habs to be. He's a core part of what makes their team run.

Why would the Canucks give up the far better player and give up a pick?

What makes you think you’re getting positive value for Gallagher and Armia?

Why would Columbus give up Werenski for that?

Why would a contending Edmonton trade RNH for a futures based package?

Garland makes too much money

Gallagher and Armia will be better on beter teams

Columbus gets many prospects

Edmonton needs to contend in the future too?

Garland’s contract is fair. Dvorak is the one who makes too much money. Garland is much better than Dvorak and only makes 500k more

No team is paying for Gallagher or Armia. Gallagher costs multiple 1sts to dump

Edmonton’s cup window is right now. They aren’t going to intentionally get worse by trading RNH

San Jose is not giving up a 2nd for Gallagher. Montreal would have to give us picks to take him. The Sharks are trying to get out of long overpay contracts, not take more on.

Which wouldn't interest them in the least. Their prospect pool is overflowing with talent as it is. Beck and Ylonen would be fringe top 10 prospects for the Jackets. Z is more valuable to them than probably any reasonable trade Montreal could muster.

You forgot the retention button and the 1rst round pick going to Toronto

And the only team this one would beat in the Atlantic is Ottawa

I believe it cost CGY a 1st to dump Monahan's $6.325M, yet it costs MTL a 1st and a 2nd to dump Anderson's $22M, and you get Hanifin as well.

You're not getting out of that Anderson contract that cheaply.

On the same thought, they got a 1st for 1 year of Monahan but somehow get Simek and a 2nd from the sharks for the luxury of taking on 4 years of Gallaher’s horrid deal.

Canucks decline. Garland is the better player than Dvorak, so why would they add a pick?
