Johansson is your 2C. Not sure where they magically find a bunch of cap/trade assets to score these other dudes.

Monahan is an awful fit stylistically isn’t healthy ever hasn’t played at a top 6 level in 4 seasons and if they were interested in him they could have gotten him as a cheap UFA this year.

Johansen has 2 goals in 2 preseason games, let's try him out first..

Also the avs dont have the capital to aquire schiefle or lindholm

he never made it to UFA. even if avs wanted to, they couldnt have signed him.

he's been such a good surprised last year, the inury were unfortunate for him. once again in preseason he's probable been the most consistent foward. hopefully he stays healthy.

Seriously, let's get to December and see where they are with 2C before we go spending major assets to acquire someone.

Let's see:

Wennberg has never scored 60 points (he had 59 seven years ago and hasn't come anywhere close to that since) while RyJo has done it 6 times so that isn't an upgrade

Lindholm may re-sign with Calgary, would only be a rental and would cost a lot in assets so that's a "no" from the Avs

Scheifele is hard no

Pinto is a 3C so, not an upgrade

Yes, I agree that Colton seriously pushes for that 2C spot. If that happens, RyJo as your 3C would be amazing!

If if if, it’s ridiculous. He has literally proven he can’t stay healthy, he has proven he isn’t a top 6 option on a playoff team. MTL fans casually forgetting about a year ago he was a literally cap dump to the tune of getting a 1st for him and then what does he do, he gets hurt and doesn’t produce. He doesn’t play in transition to the level COL wants to, he doesn’t forecheck particularly well so yeah he will always be a bad fit stylistically.
