If Edmonton ever finds themselves a goaltender, this PDO correction of theirs could get really scary in a hurry.

Zach Hyman is easily the Oilers best FA signing in my lifetime, never thought he was going to be this good in 2021, and he is such fun player to watch

Evan Bouchard has incredible offensive instincts like they're top tier just hope he can eventually learn how to consistently play defense at a acceptable level

I was so pissed when Kyle didn't resign him in Toronto. Campbell was the best Oilers FA signing though. Ceci right up there too

Because Jack Hughes has been the best player in hockey this year

Nikita Kucherov would like to have a word...

Bratt's been decent this year... But most of both of their production comes on the PP

what's with the Canes? I thought their whole thing was their defense and good goalie tandem

It's like the Islanders over-corrected on stopping shots and the Canes forget to elminate the high danger ones.

Arizona and Philly picked up their MoJo in the offseason; maybe they give it back around Christmas time and the world returns to normal.

More about controlling the game. They shoot more and allow less shots, near the top of the league. Seems goaltending has been an issue this season with a side of PK. They are bottom third in PK% and last in SV%, otherwise they are performing similarly to last year where they were near the middle in both categories.
Someone who watches them may have a more in depth perspective though.

If Hughes has 26 games under his belt he would have 48 maybe 50 points already. He has been about a 2 point per game player this year. and i know is shows 1.83 and he has 33 points in 18, but one of those games he played under 4 minutes because of the injury.

Edit: Hughes is on pace (taking out the 6 games he was injured and didn't play) for 147 points in 76 games, Kucherov is on pace for 138 in 82.

Also trading Bouchard for a veteran stay at home defenseman.

Trading Bouchard is one of the biggest zero IQ plays they could make. An upgrade on either Ceci or Desharnais makes way more sense.

Dreger on Insider Trading: “He’d (Treliving) like to add a D-man, preferably a RHD, but the prices right now are too high… Would Toronto be willing to give up a 2nd RD draft pick for Tanev? Maybe, but Toronto doesn’t have a 2nd RD pick, they are limited in their draft supply”

Dreger cont’d: “You look at Sean Walker of the Philadelphia Flyers, he’s a really strong RHD, the Flyers love him, but it’s expected they can command as much as a 1st RD draft pick for him”

WHAAATTT, Walker has been spectacular but that's just crazy. I'd take a 2nd for him in a heartbeat, and I'd settle for a 3rd if it were the best offer available

Am I missing something him? He seems like a good #5, but in no way would I pay a 1st for him.

He's played like a legit Top 4 dman this year but a first would be pretty insane. I figured he'd be dealt for like a 3rd at the deadline. Using the Justin braun deal from 2 TDL's ago as a comp.

I still find it unlikely he nets a first. but Dreger reporting that has me wondering.

And? Kucherov is leading the league in points and 2nd in goals… Hughes isn’t top 15 in EV points last time I checked…

And look at chances Hughes is giving up too
