So Monahan is only worth a 5th more than Reimer?

Easy no from Edmonton that’s way to much to give up to dump campbell and oilers aren’t trading for Healthy scratches

Hawks decline. The two 1st's cover dumping Campbell. Hawks aren't giving up Raddysh and burning a retention slot for a 3rd and a one round move up.

With the goalies they have spending more on a back up goalie than they spend on a 4th line center makes perfect sense.

A lot to give up, just to get eliminated in the playoffs early.

4 picks to dump Campbell and acquire a replacement level forward? Horrible asset management

-I don't see either team doing the 1st
-That seems like a lot for Tanev, but Calgary may be able to get better future(s) in a trade with retention given the lack of D available
-Hard to know what Reimer is worth, but that seems like a light return
-Montreal's not even going to consider that.

Buddy it's not going to take two firsts to move Campbell.

Raddysh is fun and cheap and all but he's a 40-point player. Whoopee. Two thirds sounds fine.

Edmonton is the one overpaying here, by a LOT.

I don't necessarily agree with @Hawksguy81 that CHI declines, but EDM is not "overpaying by a lot" in that proposal. Four years of a $5m cap hit is easily worth two late 1st round picks. CHI recently received a 2nd for two years of a $2.65M cap hit with a backloaded salary for Dickinson, which, at half the cap hit and half the term is only a quarter of what Campbell is owed. How about another 2nd for 1.25 years of a $4.5M cap hit for Zaitsev with a signing bonus that had already been paid out covering most of his actual salary, Campbell is owed more per season and triple the term and doesn't have a substantial signing bonus paying most of his salary for this season, meaning CHI would be responsible for a larger portion of his salary.

And then we have Raddysh, who PP's, PK's, put up 20 goals last season, is responsible defensively, can play anywhere in a top 9, is a pending RFA, and has a cap hit lower than the current league minimum. All of which has precedent in trades that have happened in recent history. CHI has no reason to move him for less than the equivalent of a late 1st. Including Raddysh in this deal would be a FAVOR to EDM, not to mention sending a pick along with him.

I know! I am just SO sick of these Hawks fans saying otherwise, so I overpaid!

Campbell is still owed like $18m in actual salary and his buyout is like $13m in real dollars. If all it took was a single 1st to dump him, he'd be out of Edmonton by now. As for Raddysh, if the best the Hawks can get for him is a 3rd and a one round move up, they just keep him and re-sign him for next season.
