Hawks probably decline. Don't see them burning one of their two retention slots for anything less than a 3rd. And Voit isn't a good enough prospect to make up the difference.

Any hypothetical trade for Dahlin would start with Matthews. But I wouldn't waste computer ink on a trade for Dahlin moving forward. He's about as untouchable as they come in Sabreland

You don't trade elite defensemen for elite forward, simple as that. And since Toronto is adding 1st, you already know that.

I’ve seen some dumb trades on here….
And the one with the Sabres is as dumb as it gets

Dahlin isn’t getting traded- not for ANYTHING
He’s untouchable

And even in fantasy internet land, this trade makes ZERO SENSE for the Sabres
We are LOADED with forward talent
And the LAST thing that makes sense would be to trade a stud defenseman for more forward talent

If there’s some magical advanced stats out there that should make the Sabres want to trade Dahlin- then those SAME STATS should prevent the Leafs from wanting him
