Honestly he's not as bad as Vitek. Vitek is seeming like Campbell-level cooked at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if any other team sent him down, it's just that the Devils don't really have options. And if the trade partner is a team with little cap space like the Leafs, yes it would cost a lot

Completely out to lunch take. Samsonov has absolutely been just as bad this season as Vanecek. Both have played well below replacement level and calling VV a cap dump but pretending Samsonov isn't is pure ignorance

I'm coming at this from a perspective of a Leafs appreciator (they are my 2nd team). Rangers have nothing to do with it and you're very oversensitive as a NJD fan if you think it does

Your biases as a rags and leafs fan are impacting your perception of Vanecek, Mercer, and Samsonov. There is no world in which the Devils trade anything of value for Samsonov right now
