Dallas has eight with 10g already (plus Benn).
I think STL had eight 20g a couple of years ago.
(Record is 11)
I’m guessing Detroit can go full Michael Phelps and set the new record at 14, altho that forces mo seider to not end at 8 or 9 goals. They’re gonna shatter the record, they’re gonna get the entire top9 / top 4 in the group. Worst case - getting to 12 means Patrick Kane has to score 3 goals…and that’s the furthest guy from 10 needed to set the record. They could set the record with 20 games remaining.
Unparalleled depth.
When stl did it 2 years ago iirc it was in the final week of the season, altho that’s memory, and I used to party.
And food for thought:
Detroit has an absurd pile of prospects with tooooons of high quality defenseman.
I hate to tell y’all.
Yzerman has done it again. He should be studied.
The Hronek trade, all the fleecings of stl (sad face emoji), the ability to sign guys for cheap except they’re not the worlds most amazing city which isn’t like some glorious tax haven. Whatever Yzerman doing is better than the rest by a measurable amount.
I’m driving the Cheveldayoff hype bus but maybe have to rename it every other weekend. Cheveldayoff gets the “win against insurmountable adversity award”, Yzerman gets the “does Sakic tier need a new name and why is it Yzerman” award. Sakic is now in the Yzerman tier of gms. My boy doug Armstrong has entered the “I got too big for my britches and now I produce garbage” award.
