Still too much for kuzmenko. The guy had 1 good season when the team sucked and now he's struggling to make the team when they're actually playing well. That's a huge red flag.

No reason for Ottawa to do that.

The odds of either Brisebois or the 6th round pick ever having any positive effect on the Sens is less than 5% whereas the odds of Kastelic having a positive effect on the Sens is probably around 70%.

I had no idea who Louis Crevier, figured nothing special... 6'8"!?!?? How's his foot speed for the big man? He filling out right or is it just big d-man tall situation?

But yeah, VAN would need to pay, or it'll be a very late pick coming back to them. I like Kuzmenko and think he needs a change of scenery, but 5.5 is tough to swallow for another year for any team. I can absolutely see CHI winning this scenario anyway you look at it. Kuzmenko returns to form next year? Recoup the assets you lost at the TDL... Kuzmenko doesn't pan out? Oh well, you got some assets to take on his contract.

I also feel Kastelic is not 100% from his last injury. He looks like he's lost a step since coming back.

If the Hawks are even willing to pay what's likely an early 3rd for Kuzmenko, there's no way they include Crevier too. Crevier is looking like a steal as a 7th rounder, and Hawks aren't trading away one of the two RD prospects they have.

I'm only going off his 15 games in the NHL but he looked ok. He might become a bottom pair dman in the NHL which would be a huge win for a 7th round pick. Hawks just don't have any RD prospects so I can't see them trading one away without getting one in return. I wouldn't give up the 3rd alone for kuzmenko. You don't bail teams out of bad contracts just because you have cap space. Keep those prices high.

He hasn't been nearly as effective as Chartier, which is unfortunate because Chartier is on waivers now.

Calgary accepts.

Hopefully Van wins the cup.

We'd hate to see Edmonton do it.

VAN should probably just hold onto Kuz, it's not like the team is struggling. Seeing if he can turn it around makes more sense than selling now when, frankly, they'd be lucky to get a mid-round pick for him.

You gotta assume every other team sees the same problems that VAN sees in him right now.

No reason for Ottawa to move on from Kastelic

He's cheap, he's huge, can fight and win face-offs
