Rangers won’t be paying a premium for a 3C who won’t get any PP1 time

The guy has better offensive production than Lindholm on a slightly worse team, on a cheaper deal as well. Plus, our GM is Kent Hughes. Please copy paste this ACGM and come back to me the day post TDL. If I’m wrong I’ll admit it

Holy negative feedback here, its hilarious because an Athletic article just dropped 2 days ago featuring a package of VAN 1st and Kuzmenko for Lindholm and the most liked comment (400+ likes) was someone blasting the writers for that VAN proposal. 2 days later guess who's right after all? Sick of the negativity on this site and among fans in general when it comes to trade proposals.

I like it pretty reasonable prediction unless the rumors are true that Drury won't talk to the habs because Gorton is there lol. That Slovak connection would be fun to see if it worked out.

They have the same number of 5v5 points, and Lindholm gets much more difficult deployment. 39% of Lindholm’s starts are in the Offensive zone, whereas 50% of Monahan’s are.

That seems petty as heck from Drury lol.

This package is still less than the Lindholm one, and Monahan has a solid cap hit which is extremely valuable at TDL.

Does this mean…
1. Monahan will go for higher than expectations
2. Monahan will go for lower than expectations
3. Monahan doesn’t get traded (but rumor floats that Kent rejected massive offer for him)

Purely based on his track record, I am expecting he can fetch higher than his trade value.
The worst move he made was a trade he didn’t make, Anderson

Honestly, it will take something like this for Gorton to trade with the Rangers.

I don’t see them being trade partners for that reason

Did you get the numbers for the 2 mixed up?
Monahan is 40/60 (5v5). Lindholm is 50/50.

If the trade was never actually offered, I wouldn’t hold it against him.

Most of his trades are a little early to tell if he did well or not, but it appears to be a mixed bag. Selling veterans and cap space for futures. Fairly standard for rebuilding club.

Don't be ridiculous you were wrong. The Lindholm trade also included 2 decent prospects with good size who fit the Flames needs and a conditional 4th round pick.

What are you talking about? I'm saying the writers of the article were right, Kuzmenko, a 1st round pick, + for Lindholm is what they proposed and fans were saying that's too much. Well the writers were correct and the majority of fans were clueless as it turns out.
