Saros is a good goalie but these values are all over the place and way too high across the board.

Canes wouldn’t move Necas for Saros 1-1, and you want the Canes to add the best d prospect outside North America, as well as a 1st and 2nd. Saros is a great goalie, top 10 league wide for sure, but you want all that, on a down year? You can ask for the at kind of package all you want, but Trotz is going to be made to regret his decision when Saros walks as a UFA.

laugh Saros numbers are hardly any better than Husso's, And you honestly think we're giving up Kasper and Mazur for him. Yeah Detroit passes big time.

Husso isn't nearly as good as Saros lol, he's consistently been a top 10 G for the past 4-5 years. he's on a bad Preds team and having a bad year

Too bad his value is based on the current season, Not what he did in the past.

My man went to the Jori Lehtera school of getting high. WOW. Okay, you're not getting Nikishin OR Necas for a goalie. You're just not. They don't hold that kind of value, especially when Saros has been so bad this year

I couldnt disagree more. His value is based off cap hit term and the market. Everyone knows what he is capable of. An extra year on his contract raises the cost and in cases like the Canes and Devils they simply cant win a cup with who they currently have.

Necas is a name ive heard linked to the deal and the russian prosepect I thought was intriguing. But to say you wont pay that for a goalie is fine but when your current tandem is the reason you loose in a series to Boston or Florida youll change your mind.

He's the best defensive prospect in hockey, he re-writing KHL record books lol. He's intriguing because he is the holy grail of the Canes farm system. Necas for Saros was an idea that was spitballed by Friedman, there's no source that backs that, and it would need more than Saros for the 65 point winger

As others have pointed out - teams aren’t going to trade top 6 forwards for a goalie, Nashville would have to add. Otherwise the return for Saros will have to be lighter. If that value prop doesn’t work, then you shouldn’t trade Saros

Nikishin isn’t just a ‘Russian prospect’ - he’s widely considered to be one of if not the best player playing outside of the NHL.

The Canes didn’t ‘loose’ to Boston or Florida because of the Canes goaltending…they ran into a better team in Boston, and then a scorching hot goalie in Florida.

Arseni Gritysuk bettah in the KHL imo (this is a joke please do not take this seriously, and yes I know you were talking about D prospects and Gritysuk is a forward)

Realistically, whose better? I'd rather have Niki than Jiricek right now. Nemec? That's closer but I still think I'd lean Niki.

Niki uses Gritty Suck to wipe his backside on the toilet (this is also a joke, I'm pretty sure he doesn't, but things are weird in Russia)

I love Nemec, he's going to be a stud. No doubt. But Nikishin is rewriting record books in the 2nd best league in the world. It's very close, but that's just me. If you said Nemec then Niki, I'd not think you're utterly crazy

The KHL arguably has better top talent than the AHL, due to some quality Russian players choosing to play at home, but overall I think the AHL is a better league. I think most AHL teams would beat most KHL teams in a seven game series. I think the best KHL team would probably beat the best AHL team due to the lack of parity and Russian superstars choosing where they want to play, but the overall talent is better in the A.

I guess we'll have to wait and see who's better between Clarke and Nikishin. My money is on Clarke.
