Don't think that gets it done.
Columbus needs him more than us.
We'll at least have to give them our own 1st this year and if we're starting there we may as well consider all possibilities of moving the pick, where KJ may not be the best target available.

He is in the dog house. Playing 4-5 min per game. Perfect timing for Hughes to pull that trigger and I think this gets it done or some other version of the same value

Did you mean 14-15 mins a game? Cuz I don't think he has ever played under 5 mins in a full game.

One game at over 6 minutes doesn't mean he's in the dog house and that doesn't mean they need to trade him to Montreal for peanuts. They will take their time with him and let him develop.

K, but like where did you get that he's playing 4-5 mins a night from? Or do you wanna just admit that you were making that up?

He finished the game with 6:57. Again, you said he's playing 4-5 minutes a night. Why did you make that up? It's so easily disproven by looking at his game logs.

The tweet said he played 4:55 including his shift in the 3rd and the article says 6:57. It's irrelevant; he should be playing 15-20 min per game. Obviously there is an issue there

Here, I'll even give you the link to his stat page. Just tell me what it says there for his last five games in icetime. I've suffered a tragic loss of ability to read the NHL website so I just need to know if he has been playing 4-5 minutes a night or not.

I’m going to politely request you to be impatient with Turcotte and send him to Jersey for a Clarke brother

There will be a new GM and it will be up to that GM to determine if Vincent is "his guy". If Vincent is out, the problem is solved.
If Vincent stays and KJ can't figure out how to work with him, then it's a possibility, I'm only saying the value has to be there.

Even IF they decide to move KJ, they'll want a pick around the top 10, but it would be more likely they build a package for an established center to retool quickly.
They've taken steps toward competing, so a rebuild package of futures likely isn't of interest.

He has been averaging 11.49 minutes in February. Not star quality minutes. He should be playing 20 min per game for his stature. There is an issue between coach and player. If it continues something will give. A perfect opportunity for a change of scenery either for the player or the coach. He has 59 shots on goal in 41 games. That is less than 2 SOG per game and 16 pts in 41 games. Not great stats for a supposed Star player. Stats don't lie that the issue is with the player

There are only so many minutes to go around. He’s not going to get first line minutes on a team with Johnny Gaudreau playing the same position, and the reuinited Russian line is now the best line on the team. He’s twenty-one and built like a flagpole. There’s nothing wrong with easing him into the league with less minutes.

The constant criticism of Columbus is how they rush and ruin everyone, but when they actually pace a player correctly, it’s also a mistake.

We dont have a gm, no chance we are moving a top prospect at this point. We are only going to be moving the pending UFAs and let the new GM evaluate the team in the offseason.

I am from a different school of thought. When you have a player that is deemed to be a star you surround him with the best. He will feed off of those players and better himself. Perfect example is Slafkovski with the HABS. Was playing the 3rd and 4th line all year last year and almost no PP time. This year they gave him the opportunity to play on the top line with Suzuki and Caufield and tons of 1st PP time. He is developing into a Monster and he is only 19. The sooner you surround your Star player with the best the quicker they develop.

1) your school of thought sucks
2) we have a bunch of players deemed to be stars or future stars. even if you look at just prospects among our forwards, he's like maybe fourth best? fantilli of course but two of the russian three will probably have a higher/longer peak than kent unless he absolutely figures out 100% of his game
3) kent is on our number 1 power play unit right now
