Kinda surprised he's departing the NCAA so early. He torched the league in his debut season after previously torching the BCHL. Yet another top prospect under contract for the Canes. This kid is the real deal, great signing

This guy has a wicked shot. Excited he’s already signing. With all the departures likely this offseason at least one of him or Blake are probably gonna see some NHL time next season. Great to see all these good prospects signing, hopefully Blake is next.

very interesting he signed. Typically a sign that he's gonna a get a chance to play in the NHL quickly. Most NCAA guys prefer to develop in NCAA vs AHL.

Always a good deal when you sign your first-round draft picks, and this kid has been under the radar -- he could be on the main roster in 2025.

He’s a slide candidate since he’s under 20, only 4 games left. If he’s in the minors and plays less then 10 games next season, that season will be a slide year too

Carolina doesn’t have a minor league affiliate in AHL or ECHL. Could theoretically send him to juniors, but that would be step back from NCAA. Probably spends year as AHL loaner if CAR doesn’t sign affiliation deal.

He probably should have done another season at Maine.

I think this and the Trikozov signing signals that they have an affiliate plan already close to being done if not done... My guess is that the Wolves are gonna be the AHL affiliate

Canes have an ECHL affiliate, not an AHL one *officially*. Though, almost every Canes player in the AHL is back at the Chicago Wolves
