Patches is on a 31/32 goal pace, but he missed time with an injury and perhaps he'd be doing better if Stastny hadn't also missed significant time.
He might not reach a 30 goal total since he isn't going to get to 80+ games, but he has shown last season was an anomaly. He's 2 goals from matching last season's total in 25 less games.

Still doesn't change the fact that he has been playing with a better center than he ever had on Montreal and is failing to live up to his expectations. The fact that Tatar is on pace for .75 PPG and Pacioretty is on pace for .71 speaks volumes
Funny how he goes from Negative value to being worth pretty much the same value as Pacioretty.
It's amazing how certain players can be so much more effective in the "right" situation. I love Tatar in MTL and I love Pacioretty in Vegas. And I hated them w/ their former teams! I think it's a safe bet I'll owe you a beer on Tatar though. Just send me a self-addressed pre paidFedex box and I'll send you a can of the cheapest beer on thee planet! LOL.
Vegas loses another trade to get Tatar was Erat 2.0 only to trade him in Erat 3.0 move ... Tatar besides costing them 500K a year will produce as much or more offense than injury prone Max... Vegas is a shambles for stupid moves like this to get Tatar in first place was a mistake then to move him hehe... Yet they played Trash Reaves in SCF while benching Tatar who had like 4 goals in 2 games vs. Capitals for Detroit ?
WOW, what a trade by Mr.Bergevin. Habs won this trade by faaar. Suzuki is a promising prospect and no need to talk about Tomassss Tatarrrrr an excellent forward that can play on the 2 first lines and also on the PP. Bravo Marc!

I legit have no idea how Patches net this return. I know tatar fell out of favor fast in vegas but wow was this a lopsided deal.

At the time time of the trade, Tatar was viewed as a 3rd line overpaid player. It was (-) value + Suzuki for a potential 40 goal scorer in Pacioretty. Pacioretty didn't live up to expectations (his playoff performance was something special though).

Worse for Vegas just might be the extension with Patches.

You used your last (useless) post to try to shrink the margin? Hey, I can reply to you with my own useless post. . Hoping for an Isles/Leaf Conference final. We'll pull away from the pack.

you say potential 40 goal scorer... not once in his career has he hit 40. he hit 39, 37, 35, 33. When this trade happened, there was clear signs of regression in patches game. he didnt even hit 40 points in 2017-18. I think alot of people chalked that up to injury. I think at 30 years old, he isnt a 30+ goal scorer anymore. Tatar just fell out of favor in vegas for some reason.

Yes a potential 40 goal scorer. He put up 39 goals along side David Desharnais (Who was at best a poor 2nd line center at the time). People figured if you put him beside a legit 1st line center, he would hit 40 no doubt about it. Patches had a down year before being traded, but it wasn't really down to regression, I think it was more about the pressure about being the captain and not being able to focus on his game. His playoff performance proves he can still be a top 6 winger on the team.
Do you periodically check habs threads? The last post was over a year ago.
When you comment on a thread it moves to the top of the lists in it’s section, so when I went to the “Forums” section it was the top post (most recent comment) under the “Trades” section.
As well as Pacioretty has worked out in Vegas, it's hard to deny the found value Montreal has gotten out of this deal with Nick Suzuki alone. Too bad Vegas never even gave Suzuki a look
Saying all this considering Vegas's Stanley Cup window looks to be starting to close as it's core gets older
