Dumba plus for Marner

Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Team Explanation
I proposed the Wild trade in another ACGM and didnt get shot by Wild posters so giving this a go.

Top 8 protection on the pick OR the pick is another 1st rounder acquired via another trade.

Not sure on lines as I did this fairly quickly.

If that 1st was a 2022nd that's decent value trade.

Dumba plus? Dumba plus is like Dumba plus a second. This is dumba and major assets. I think this is way too much. Honestly, Dumba for Marner straight up is pretty fair. Marner probably has a smidge more on ice value, but his contract is far bigger.

I was talking to @tansor and @MNBassman and I feel they have good idea of Wild situation more.

So will stay with my idea for now.

As a fan of both teams but not a homer for either, I think Dumba and Zucker is right for both teams. Minny needs the draft pick and Toronto gets the monster RD it needs desperately both this year and for the future, with only Rielly and the rookies signed for next year.

What's the over and under against my hapless Kings this evening?

Did you read the part about the protection on the pick OR if it was 1st rounder later in the round acquired via another trade??

i did! Bottom of the barrel teams shouldn't make a practice of trading first round picks regardless. Then when you factor in they're also moving their most valuable asset with that pick, along with a good NHL player, and it gets to the absurd territory.

I'm not sure Minnesota would want to give up a first round pick seeing what situation their in.

Maybe make the trade slightly bigger? It's tough because Marner is still on pace for a 90+ point season.

Sup, old wild fan here before jets came back. Great trade but your undervaluing dumba and his contract quite alot... wild r rebuilding so 1st round pick is out of the question but with marner for dumba and Zucker I think the leafs would have to add... maybe a 2nd/3rd round pick or something

Personally, I would do Marner for Dumba and Zucker straight up! But if they want to throw in a pick too.....

Also, I like the other trades but I think we might have to settle for a 3rd and maybe a later pick for Hyman. Just my thoughts.

No I think this kind of move will big enough already.
Any thoughts on Zucker and how he might fit Leafs?

What about Marner and Hyman for Dumba, Zucker and a 2nd or 3rd?

Thanks, I was thinking about this after I read your proposal but wasn't sure how people would react so I stuck with my other thought of Marner for Dumba and Zucker and like I said if they want to throw in a pick I wouldn't complain lol.

Its solid idea, another right shot player to team lacking them.

Initially, I thought best to stay away from Zucker but...I have been mulling over the idea. I've warmed up to such an idea actually.

A lot of people forget that Hyman is a natural RW, me and blowingthezone have had a few conversations about it before when believe it or not Minny fans didn't want him because they said he's a LW

It is a very solid idea. That would upgrade Minnesota's wingers quite a bit.
