Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Leafs get a top D that plays 30 mins a night and kings get a young top offensive player to mix in with all the prospects on the rise. Doughty steps into Ceci stop can reteam with Muzzin for top pair. Reilly, Barrie then Holl Dermott Among others to round out the D. Marner doughty cap is about even but Toronto saves 4.5mil dropping Ceci to maybe make a Corresponding move to fill Marners spot. Believe me if doughty played in Toronto he would have a much different reputation then he does. Even if not Toronto can cover marners offense they have so many options. Just a thought don’t need to get blasted for it. Honest opinions are awesome all the your an idiot stuff can go somewhere else. Throw in some of your variations of a similar trade.

You must be kidding that the Leafs would trade Marner who is a franchise and generational player. The Leafs have been waiting for over a generation to have a player like Marner and you are going to trade him away.

Lol this was just a test of the emergency broadcast system. I’ve posted a couple crazy ideas about the kings hardly get a response. But you add Toronto into it and all hell breaks loose. Love this site so much fun!!! Everyone have a great Saturday. My replies tend to be much better then my trades. Sorry I’m old and work too much. Should watch more games I guess lol

So some people think Doughty sucks others Marner. Lol So like I said in another post it’s prob somewhere in the middle. That’s why these posts are so hard I pretty much watch kings games only and not even all those. An occasional nbc or nbc sports game if I’m lucky. Don’t have time to watch every game like when I was younger. I also get a feeling on here that kings players really lack the value that a lot of others place on their players.

Let’s say Toronto did want doughty what would they give up? And if you buy doughty out in 2024 his cap hit would be 3.6 mil. And goes down in the years after. Just throw that in there just in case it affects anyone’s thought process. I do think he would help their blue line and I’d hate to see him go but kings are at least 3 years out. IMO. Toronto should go for it for the next few years. Eventually the cap is gonna bite them.

Anyone that thinks either player sucks is just out to lunch. Both are terrific, however, the contract and age difference make the trade really impossible. Doughty may not be worth his contract now and his best days are in the past. Marner's are ahead. End of story, no need to debate. Leafs have zero interest in Doughty's contract
