Columbus doesn’t take any of those. Jarmo won’t move either goalie without a huge haul in return that addresses our need for elite forward talent.

It's a tough one. Recency bias leads you to believe he will be as good as his stellar post season. His regular season was only ok at .911, his previous 2 seasons were both at .897. He comes in at a nice number, but he runs hot and cold, like Rittich

I assume value wise Leafs trade is fine. But I doubt they trade a prospect they just got in Hallander. Maybe SDA as the prospect?

To me it's his age, term and cap hit that makes me accept

That’s way too much for Korpisalo.

the problem is nobody is trading an elite forward talent without moving one of bem/tex/foudy/peeke. just by looking at possible teams he could be traded to, we could potentially swing a package for DeBrincat or RNH (extended) but thats doubtful. IF the org is insistent on moving Korpi i could see it being for only futures.

I just don’t see Jarmo moving him for just futures, esp because we could keep both Korpi and Elvis I’m the expansion draft. So he’s gonna have to be blown away.

Idk why you'd move either of them your paying 2 like 6 million. Moving korpisalo after wht 30 games of Elvis is too big a risk.

Sharks accept graciously, we'll even throw in a Bergmann as a thanks.

I just don’t see Jarmo moving him for just futures, esp because we could keep both Korpi and Elvis I’m the expansion draft. So he’s gonna have to be blown away.

im against moving either until the TDL tbh, but theres been some reports that Korpi is being shopped

Goalies are just a major crapshoot these days. It's all about who's hot and who's cold. Look at Binnington for instance. Amazing last year, couldn't stop a beach ball this year.

Columbus doesn’t take any of those. Jarmo won’t move either goalie without a huge haul in return that addresses our need for elite forward talent.

I'm not Jarmo but I'd take the Sharks one -- and I'm a big "move out a bunch of depth pieces and focus on bringing in 1-2 big fish" kinda guy.

But maybe I'm just high on Gambrell (and low on Korpi)

I think you're very high on Gambrell. He hasn't shown he has what it takes to be a top-6 guy in the NHL, nor has Chekhovich.
