Some of the armchair GM posts are completely ridiculous, and there's nothing wrong with pointing this out. The title of this topic worries me; already way too much censorship on fb, twitter, etc. This is a hockey site -- people should be able to chirp each other without getting butthurt.
Gotta agree here. Its one thing to be offensive and condescending (Guilty as charged at least one time
), but if you can't take the heat than get out of the kitchen. If you post something to the internet, then we as readers have the right to post our displeasure with it. Albeit without being an a-hole about it. So absolutely call someone out on a bad trade/signing etc but keep it within the realm decency. For those who do this just for fun, you don't have to post the team to the site you know right? You can leave it in your queue of AGM's without exposing it to the world, But If you don't care, then post it but as long as people are civil about it, they have the right to rip it to shreds if they think its bad.
Also for all of the negative Nancy's, condescending a-holes and "babies" who can't take harsh opinions for valid criticisms:
Being a GM/trading players is hard. Its normal that there is a lot of criticism. GM's tell us every day that its hard to make trades and we scoff at them thinking we could do better. This site is proof, that we aren't any better and trading
is really hard.
At the end of the day, we're all just hockey fans, talking hockey.

Report posts if you feel they are trolling or being rude.
We get very few reports, it would help immensely to remove the trolls if you used the report feature.
Banks, what constitutes trolling though? Serious question. Unless incredibly blatant, it's totally up to the forum readers perception. With that said, the person in question may not be trying to troll but is just not AGM savvy or is hockey ignorant.

This might be the best post on here! I chirp a little too...just being honest. I do try to back things up with support...stats, NHL cba, bonuses, etc... and palhal is usually a nice guy. I can't claim to know the scenario above, but he's a retired guy from TOR that just loves hockey. Maybe he had a drink or two in him?!?!?
OMG did palhal finally lose his marbles? Did i miss something? Dang it Banks, at least let some of us get our laughs in before you start taking down posts!
All jokes aside though, love palhal's contribution to the site as it makes for good dialogue and many times he's (generally speaking) right but he does take it to heart a bit much. Lol he definitely needs to choose his battles better. Some AGM's are just not worth commenting on. Sometimes the temptation is just too overpowering. Clearly when you have over 5K comments LMAO
