We're approaching the ELC slide deadline for certain players, so who do you think stays on the roster, Raymond is 1 game away from being ineligible, Sillinger is 2, Eklund and Mercer are 3 games away, Neighbours is 4, Lapierre is 5, Mctavish, Perfetti and Jarvis have all also played games this year and could slide
Raymond stays, Eklund should be reassigned but won’t be I think; he’s too smart to be sent away but he’s too small to warrant staying imo, Sillinger is 50/50 but probably down, Mercer stays I think, Lapierre burns it I think, no idea on Neighbours Jarvis McTavish (ducks are weird), Perfetti down I think.
KK was rushed. Habs have learned. Sending down Cole is the best option.
I wholeheartedly disagree. Kotkaniemi deserved to make the team, and was played in the absolute best position an 18 year old Center could play for development, an very well sheltered offensive role on the 3rd line. He had a great 18 year old season. When injuries and bad lucked aligned in year 2 the habs sent him down to Laval to gain confidence, and he followed that up with a great performance in the playoffs that summer.
I think the best option would be on a line suzuki and one of toffoli/gallagher , but AHL is better than having him play 3rd line NHL minutes with bad linemates
I mean he was getting 1st line minutes with Suzuki & Toffoli for most of the first few games. (Which was changed because losing 5 games in a row isn’t great) Sending him to Laval is more about boosting his confidence than anything else.

Agree to disagree but I relate it too Eklund; just because a player is good enough to play doesn’t mean they should. Sometimes it’s better to develop a little more, hone your skills in the AHL/ whatever, add some size, play your 1-8 games before burning, and get developed by the NHL/ AHL crew. Like can Eklund play in the NHL; 100%. Should he play this year? Not entirely, even comeback later in the year if he needs too. Will he be hurt by developing further? Never. And that’s what I believe should have happened with KK, what I want to happen with Eklund. Not saying your wrong and I’m right. Just my take. Not every kid needs play at 18/19.
What’s the problem why can’t they just get a deal. It’s like watching a digital clock.
I mean there’s a whole bunch of cap considerations to figure out for Vegas to make this work. Plus since he’s out for a long time after the trade anyways, there isn’t that much incentivizing a quick move.

There is nothing to base a deal like this off of so no one is sure what is good or bad.
I’m sorry if I sounded impatient. I agreed stuff like that takes time but the media keeps us on a cliff about it
Islanders to me make the most sense, if it wasnt for the Rielly extension would say Toronto.
This is Lou's chance to fix his mistake
Pelech-Pulock
Chycrun-Mayfield
Green-Dobson
If Toronto never extended Rielly
Chycrun-Brodie
Muzzin-Dermott
Sandin-Holl
As for the rest
Panthers I dont see them doing it due to the cap as once Barkov's extension comes in it wont work
Kings maybe but the cost is high and as we saw with Chicago one wrong move and the rebuild is ****ed
The islanders don’t make sense because of what they’d have to give up . They’d want one of Wahlstrom/Dobson + picks - the Islanders do not desperately need a top pair LHD. Scratching Chara and reuniting pelech-Pulock . solves all the isles problems.

Have they scratched chara this year any of the games

Seider and Raymond race for Calder rn imo.
Mercer definitely stays
5 points in 7 games (4th on the Devils in scoring)
And is taking the role of 2C with Hughes on IR
