Most recent I could find was McCarron. 2 games for a check to the head on Gourde.

The most recent 5 prior to that were either 2 or 1 games (4 of the 5 were deuces).

Also Habs blew a 2-1 lead with 2:09 to lose 3-2 in regulation, we’re playing good and tanking at the same time

NHLPA be a joke and the players should vote to oust the current guys running it and get a proper commission going. As man since Shanahan left they have never been as good as when he was running it.

NHL player safety also decided to wait till the middle of the Columbus game to announce his suspension when they had plenty of time to announce it earlier to allow for that game to count as the first game. But nah got to waste time making a useless video.

So instead of being back for Vancouver unless his sentence is reduced he is back for Seattle.

I mean it was not effort so much as the Leafs decided to go on Christmas Vacation in the third lul.

Sunday was a bad image for the NHL but if Reid Anderson and Brad Meier get Stanley Cup playoff games, that’s a fukcin joke.


Off topic, that was a terrible ending to tonight’s game, that’s the type of lack of finish I hate to see from this team

So Vancouver I believe no longer has the worst PK in the NHL

As while they have allowed 29 PPG, Wpg has allowed 32

Based on all previous suspensions based on records Spezza should have got 3 games as it was his first time and based on past no record examples that would have been fair. 6 is the NHLPA going "Dont you dare question us **** you" while also protecting its ****ty refs. Next CBA players should vote Donald Fehr out.

As for this game, we went on Christmas Vacation early wink

In all seriousness nobody can question Marner's importance now as without him the PK and defense at times has been a shaky lul.

Got a feeling though they will be much better vs. Tampa as it seems against weaker teams leafs let off the gas a bit but against strong teams its full on commitment to 100% strong play.

No concerns though as Keefe gonna reign them back in for Thursday against Tampa. Probs will also get Dermott back to which will help on the back end third pairing.


I actually really liked Rubins game, he has a heavy shot and is able to get it on net. Kinda does a lot of the things Dermott does. It’s early goings but I liked what I saw from him

More of the same from the pre-season, which was just really solid and for the most part unnoticeable play from him. Just kind of gets on the ice, does his thing and gets off. I like that ability in a bottom pair guy.

My thoughts exactly. What more can you ask for from your 3rd pair. Unnoticeable from a D can be a good thing!

Just realized Spezza got suspended for more games than Scheifele did when he sent Jake Evans off the ice via stretcher that nearly resulted in a hospital visit for the poor kid.
