Guess Matthews decided to go back to trying to get the Richard Trophy again rather than compete with Barkov for the Selke this year lul

How many games did the Refs get. Easily should be 20

As for Spezza

Wilson with his black star record gets 0 games for almost cracking Pannarins head like and Egg but Spezza with his clean record gets more than 5 games.

Player Safety seriously is a Joke. Yes Spezza deserved a suspension but it should have been 3-4 games with his record not 6 lul. Bet you Pionk aint even concussed

Also explanation is a joke. If your going for a hit make adjustments...um when a guy is falling you cant adjust that quick lul. In fact one could say adjusting would have resulted in the same thing lul

Anyways player saftey has never been the same since the man the myth the legend Shanahan stopped running it.

Rip them in the mentions

I thought 4. As much as the hit was dangerous and unacceptable, this is a guy with no history, there was no injury on the play, and it was a misguided attempt to stand up for a teammate because the refs weren't doing their job.

Christ, he should have just bitten Pionk instead.

Does anyone know what the most recent suspension for a head hit that wasn’t given to Wilson or Kadri was?

Reminds me of my favorite goal never scored:

Wish players would try this type of move more.

I’m just wondering what the usual games mark is for people who don’t have a history, and I don’t remember any incidents other than with those 2 in recent years.

Wilson got from at lowest 3 and highest 20 games for all his head shots over the years. As for Kadri got 8 games in his most recent tilt

But noted here was both had records of previous suspensions

Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 24

Jackets lose, score doesn’t matter, to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

-The second period just ended as I begin writing this, but I’m gonna do this now. I don’t give a damn if they make this 5-4, they are NOT winning this game.A team that loses a game in the first half does not deserve a full-game notes post. What on Jody Shelley’s green Earth do you call that unmitigated dumpster fire?

-Lars scratched Yegor again, and THAT GODDAMN DANFORTH is still on the roster. He seemed to be the only one that showed up tonight, but that isn’t saying much because he’s AHL material at best. PUT YEGOR IN, FOR GOD’S SAKE. The Yegor-Silli-Jake line was working WONDERS, why did you split that up?

-SO. MANY. GOALPOSTS. Could we get ANY more unlucky with our shots?

-Our defense was a defense in name only. We got scored on by Nick Ritchie. NICK F*CKING RITCHIE. The guy that the entire city of Toronto wants exiled to Siberia. For the love of Boomer, you can’t expect Vlad to do all the work on defense. Make an effort at least.

-The only solace I can take is that this is the Leafs. We have come back from a big lead in that city before, so if we actually come back (which I don’t believe they will), I will make a second post when I’m in a much better mood.

Why do you keep trying to push this narrative? Matthews isn’t winning the Selke.

He is at 88% EVD and has been more noticeable in the defensive zone breaking up odd man rushes and taking away the puck. If only Keefe was not scared to put him on the PK then he would probs have a good chance. Surprising he aint on the PK as Nylander despite being worse defensively be on it. Guess they dont want an injury.

Now he aint winning yes as Bergeron gonna get it but he will probs get a good chunk of votes. If he PK'd and did well good chance of it like what happened with Barkov last season. To bad as mentioned above the injury bug be a big barrier to that idea

EVD isn’t everything, but even if it was then he’d still not be as good as guys like Stone, Bergeron, and ROR. And even if he did deserve it on merit there’s no shot he actually wins it, due to being only 24 and never having any serious consideration for it before. The youngest Selke winners in the last 20+ years have been Toews (won it at 24 after finishing 6th, 2nd, and 4th in voting the 3 years prior) and Barkov (won it at 25 after finishing 11th, 2nd, and 4th in voting the 3 years prior). The Selke is the most stuck-in-its-ways award there is, you have to have had multiple years of high finishes in voting and preferably be 27+ to even be considered. So if Matthews keeps this up, maybe he’ll have a shot at the 2025 Selke trophy.

Yeah true, probs needs to be a year older like Barkov did when he got it at 25 while also getting some solid PK time to get some serious considerations. But that looks doubtful as someone does not want him on the PK despite Keefe a year ago mentioning he planned to give him time which I believe never happened lul.

All in all going from 43% to 88% EVD is a step in the right direction to that goal.

What’s nuts is two plays resulting in eight games of suspensions warranted zero penalty minutes. 🤔

Guess they got bored and wanted to make the game more entertaining than it was in the first 2 periods

Either way Keefe probs gonna give it to them in the locker-room with that sloppy play in the third.

Cant be doing that against Tampa on Thursday

Defensemen stick handle with the ball on the ground all the time to get by a offensive player in tight spaces but knowone trys to do a slapshot. Maybe in box lacrosse which I have on Saturday
