honestly thats not close based on how he's playing today. two firsts and beauvillier for a 55 point guy? you could probably pay a first and a second and get tyler toffoli, who has the same production (usually) and a lower cap hit
however, if he steps up his game, then for sure he could be worth that

im not great with potential but right now his potential isnt looking as high as it was before. im thinking right now that his potential is 65-70 points but he's gonna take his sweet time to reach it

He's a tough one. Fun player to watch and he clearly has some special tools, but boy, that's a big contract for his actual impact. Could he do better elsewhere and live up to that deal? Sure, maybe, but I don't exactly see teams lining up to pay a heavy price tag for that risk.

Beauvillier is a much better finisher than Keller, he's also a better forechecker and he's better defensively. Over the last 3 seasons Beauvillier has been the better player.

When it first came out only 8 teams were in. With his recent performance that 5 went to 20. And given time probs all 32 by the summer

That's probably his value, but what serious playoff contender has 7 Million in cap space to pay a 50~ point guy long term... I just don't see it.

yeah maybe if Ariozona retains salary they can get a 1st and two 2nds, something like that.
