K so Nnies + Niemela = untouchable makes sense considering these two blew away expectations. Unless a team is offering something insane yeah would rather keep em lul.

Robertson not being traded for a rental makes sense (so Rip the ACGM's trading him for Gio). Nick Abruzzese moving to the "dont want to trade" is a bit odd as I think if teams call about him and are offering a RD with term why not.

Also for his sake Muzzin should not be back at least till at least April or Game 1 of the playoffs. As suffering back to back concussions is very dangerous. Add to his other injuries he needs time to heal. As I know he was spotted in the building but lets be real hard to keep a guy away even if they are hurt lul.

Oh and speaking of Forsberg

9.5mx8 years, 35 years old at the end of the deal and for what he brings I think that's fair.

9.5 x 8 is a lot of money to give to a player who’s shooting twice his career avg

mmm no thats about the right amount of money

As for one he is 27 years old and rn has 26 goals and 44 points in 39 games. Still got plenty of games left in the season so there is a chance he gets 36-40 goals. Like if he played all 52 games for the preds probs would have 30-33 goals and 50-60 points rn.

His numbers these past few seasons have been insane at both ends of the ice and his on ice vs. off the ice numbers for the preds have been amazing. And he can be on a teams top PP and Penalty killing units (big bonus).

9.5mill x 8 years for what he brings is more than fair. Cause if he hits UFA market someone will give him that or more for 7 years.

Like think of it like this, if hes doing well with Granlund and Duchene imagine him say with more offensively gifted players.

Forsberg was mediocre offensively at even strength last season. No doubt he's having an insane contract year, but he most likely will not be a star winger going forward, and I wouldn't want to pay a non elite talent 9.5 mill. It's very possible he gets that much based off of this season, but he's Jeff Skinner 2.0 and whoever gives him that contract will regret it within 2 years
