Close it was 950k x 3 years

He gets paid 850k year 1 and 1mill the other 2 years.

Not too bad, he’s been doing pretty okay on a team that’s dying a slow death, and you can bury that contract if he falls off a cliff in terms of performance. I say good deal.

I guess you're in it for the guaranteed money, but I definitely wouldn't sign for 3 years with Arizona, they're a tirefire

Gaunce - Sillinger - Danforth
Boqvist - Kukan
Berube

1. WHY IS JUSTIN DANFORTH ANYWHERE NEAR THE STARTING SPOT

2. They’re giving Berube both sides of a back to back? I would have thought they would have given the starting job to Greaves, as much as that concerns me.

1. Doesn't really matter who starts, Danforth is actually a good depth player and Larsen wanted to start that line
2. Merz is the backup, not Greaves

He’s been playing fine, but there are younger guys on the roster that play his position that need playing time. Really, Bemstrom should be getting his minutes. Would be good for him.

Bemstrom doesn't fit in the lineup though, he's the type of player you put on a scoring line and well those are full

One odd thing that I see in other sports that I wish happened in hockey: more multi-team trades.

In the NBA, we see like 4-team and 5-team trades a lot, and I wish that happened more often here. Seeing 5 different fanbases argue over who won a trade here would be so funny

This would involve many things though, including big trades actually happening, GMs doing their job, and GMs wanting to actively improve their team. That doesn't happen in hockey.

THIS IS GETTING SILLY NOW.

Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 52

Jackets lose, big number - 0 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

-I just knew that giving an AHL goalie both ends of a back-to-back series was a bad idea.

-I guess I was right to panic about our best defenseman being gone. We couldn’t get out of our own zone AT ALL.

-Seth Jarvis decided to fight Max. Bob didn’t seem too enthralled by it. I really expected him to start borderline yelling about how there was a fight. All he said was “and there they go.” I guess he’s used to this.

-Danforth drops down to block a shot, and it bounces off of his stick up over the glass. For a reason that not even the smartest of scientists know, Danforth is sent to the box for delay of game. That was entirely incidental and they knew it. On the next faceoff, Carolina scores. Delay of game has become the NHL equivalent to the NFL’s catch rules.

-Two very quick goals, and I’m outta there. They’re screwed.
