First it's fantasy that the Habs get free 11.75m of cap so easily (Petry and Drouin). Wouldn't the Habs be so much better off signing a UFA for 8m and keeping those three picks instead of an offer sheet?

0 chance MTL does that lol Dodson is good and I love his game, he will be a solid D for Years to come but that's wayyyy too much for someone with 1 really good year so far ( yes he's young and will continue to improve) but still a lot of money. Also MTL will not be giving an offer sheet and giving up their 2023 1st rounder, no one is giving those up who are potentially going to be in the bottom of the standings.
