infinite first round pick glitch

Description
tanking is the best thing ever lol i would be so excited if we tanked like this. i know these trades look wanky as all get out but hear me out guys we know these guys all have much higher value than they actually should if you were to use any common sense (with the exception of dvo and allen i suppose theyre pretty fair i think). habs pick shane first, then lambert at 13 (NYI) , miro at 18 (DAL), and odelius at 26 (CAL). this team is really brought together around the concept of focusing on the youth and letting everyone figure it out together, the defence and second pk are the real examples of this, filled with youth at the expense of experience, remember we are still trying to lose here after all. i would usually be very adamand on keeping pitlick on line 1 but having drou up there might kickstart his game again and if he can produce he would be a very exciting piece come the deadline, same with dadonov to a lesser extent.

That NYI trade is a package for fiala or add a 1st + for debrincat ur insane if you think a gm would actually give that sort of package for a guy who is 28, hit 40 points and 20 goals once each

like i said anderson isnt worth this. lou is also not known to be the best gm in the world and andy is the kind of player he blows his entire load over.

Drop the third round pick and add Dobby to the Dallas trade. And I’d still prefer we looked for dman elsewhere

Absolutely not from the Islanders. For that I expect Romanov added to the deal

i just don’t see why the isles would target anderson at all. they have a ton of players like anderson. this is the type of package i’d expect them to put up for fiala, or a left-handed defenseman.

That Josh Anderson trade is hysterical. Lou ****ing sucks as a GM but I have to believe even he isn’t that ****ing stupid. I don’t think you should posts trades unless YOU believe they r fair. This ACGM is just you fantasizing about ripping off Lou, but you aren’t Joe Sakic lmao.

No one needs to part with a 1st to get Anderson or Petry. I like dvorak, I think I'd consider that one.

i like dufour and it’s cool that he’s been so successful but his skating still needs work and i’d for sure be willing to move him in a package for the right player. josh anderson is not that player.

I watch Dufour skate and I don’t see the concerns tbh. IMO the worst case scenario is he’s an average skater who makes up for it with size and hockey sense.

Islanders prospects start playing well and now everyone wants to trade them lol. This team doesn't feel close to competing for a cup. IMO they shouldn’t make a big investment via trade unless they see real signs of internal improvement from the younger core guys.

i agree with you on the second point, but i’ve always been, in both baseball and hockey, the type of person who’s cool with trading prospects for the right quality, established guys unless you have a guy with unbelievable potential (like francisco alvarez if you’re a mets fan at all), and the isles don’t have any of those rn. a guy like alex debrincat or fiala could be that right, established guy. josh anderson is not even close to that guy.

i mean worst case scenario is he’s a guy who dominated the Q because of size but doesn’t have the skill to translate it to a higher level. lots of guys have dominated juniors in their D+2 seasons and not become anything. i’m excited for him too, but him playing well doesn’t make him an NHL guarantee and there are for sure red flags (i do think his skating’s a red flag and it needs to improve before he makes the nhl level)

It could be but before I trade him. I'd like to see him with 1 full season in Bridgeport to make a fair assessment.

I don’t disagree, but Dufour was good during his Draft year too. He can’t control the level of competition he is playing and sometimes Qmjhl guys are undervalued.

I don’t see the skating issue tbh. Like Scott Wheeler says, good and bad skating is a lazy term. His stride isn’t pretty but he’s strong and it’s been effective against CHL competition. There r guys who come on late.

i agree but you do risk a few things doing this. it’s like with bolduc, last year after his AHL all star year, he probably had pretty solid value in a trade, this year he really struggled and his stock is pretty low. i wouldn’t move him unless it was for a good established player, but i’m perfectly fine moving him in the right deal.
