Rangers please

Rangers cant even afford Strome and Copp

At this rate I think they pursue Ryans brother Dylan

And sign him 3.5mill x 3 years

To me it seems like the biggest factor in Gaudreau's decision is that he wanted to stay closer to his family.

Man with Gaudreau gone priority now is to get Tkachuck to sign a 8 year deal and not a 1 or 2 year like it was rumored if Johnny left

The extra money he would make by getting the 8th year is enough to buy 3 houses to bring however much family he wants to Calgary

Yeah but his family's life is in New Jersey/Pennsylvania/New York range.

Much easier for Gaudreau to move there instead of his family to move 2500 miles up northwest.

Gaudreau is going to get a lot of flack for this over his career.

Not often you see this kind of move with that kinda offer put up leaving an AMAZING team. I mean truly the Flames could have been special. They could have achieved over 120 points I think.

I feel like that's not great family, if they're holding back his career and costing him millions of dollars. If my kid bought me a house and told me I could retire if I moved to Calgary, I don't think I'd be like nah, come to a tiny town in New Jersey instead

tears of joy well we first need to confirm where he signs. For all we know it could be Long Island too.

$10M is a lot of money sure but honestly the $70M he's getting is so much he won't be missing that last ten in the long run.

100% . Garth snow was stubborn, but looking back he was a pretty good talent evaluator. Wang held him back a bit

Think of it this way - if someone was about to pour a gallon of water on your head, you probably don't give a f*ck if they added one liter to the puddle. It doesn't make much of a difference. You'd be just as wet as Gaudreau would be just as filthy rich with "only" that $70M too.
