I know its Slovakia but 3 goals and 2 assists for McTavish in one game not bad and we got one more period left

Cormier has shown that he’s their best defensemen, that’s no knock on Zellweger, but Cormier has been playing unreal.

Jamie Benn is such a weird player. He went from a perfect forward who was good at pretty much everything, was a top 5 player in the league, won the Art Ross to one of the worst contracts in the NHL, slow af, pretty bad defensively, and a pest to play against.

Honestly if Benn was making 3-4 Million people would still rate him as a decent player, he's just massively overpaid

Now THAT looked more like the Team Canada that was expected-I know it's Slovakia, but still, wow what a game. Holy smokes McTavish. Bedard, Roy and Othmann were also really good. They need to clean up the turnovers a bit, but other than that, if they keep playing like this, look out.

Now let's see the USA crush Switzerland.

Well tbf, I had Roy as a 3rd rounder in his draft year and so far, he’s still been able to look like the guy I projected him to be, a good 3rd liner, maybe able to become a middle 6 guy, we can wait and see but I don’t think there are too many rational Habs fans who overhype him

Personally, with what he has shown, I agree he is a steal. I think even if he tops out as a bottom six forward, I’d still call that a success

Roy was a steal of a pick for being in 5th round tho. Guy looks like he’ll be pro.

Speaking of steals I’m pumped to see what Brandon Coe truly is; this is the year we find out.

I agree he was a steal. Potential top 6 forward is a stretch for any late round pick. Still think even if he just becomes a third liner that’s super successful for the fifth round
