The habs dont have any interest in Girard.

They already have matheson ghule harris and Xhekaj at LD for the long term.

Why does COL do that? Compher and Rodrigues are playing as good or better than Monahan and Girard is better than Edmundsen.

Girard can easily play RD though. Not saying he's the ideal 1RHD, but he would be a clear improvement from having Savard on the top pairing.

If they are giving out that much assets they want a actual RD not a "maybe he can play on his offside".

Girard played on the right side a lot, and while he's not a first pairing guy at 5v5, he would help our powerplay.

But i think Hutson will be NHL ready in 2024 and will be a better player. He's so good.

I mean, he played 3rd line minutes in Montreal. Not the gotcha you think it is. I’m glad he’s getting better usage in Colorado.

Except he isnt an upgrade. His career high in pp points is 13 he isnt a 1st unit pp qb. Matheson who has played 10 games has as many pp points as girard does.

I agree. The bad part was believing Lehkonen was worth a 2nd.

Because he's always had better defenseman playing PP1 over him in Colorado. I'm sure he'd be an upgrade over any other D on the powerplay.

He is averaging still over a minute per game if he was a "#1 PP qb" he would still be productive.......but he isnt."
