Said it multiple times already, if Hughes actually turned down a 1st round pick for Anderson, it should be a fireable offence.

I'm seeing the same Monahan rumors as you but they have to be coming from MTL. Avs have enough injury prone guys. Foudy is one of the only Avs AHL-ers I think it's safe to say has an NHL future beyond a bottom-6 fill-in, so I can't imagine he'd be part of any trade unless it was for someone better and healthier than Monahan.

You can ask for whatever you want, doesn’t mean you’re getting anything close to it.

There’s nothing even close to a rumor of that Boston trade

Damn, I didn't realize many GMs had 69 IQ... It's quite sad really.

What Montreal fans blissfully ignore are the stipulations put on that first. I think we can say with 100% certainty that no GM offered a 1st for Anderson without retention. It was probably something like Anderson @50% retained plus a good prospect for a protected first in 24 or 25.

Hughes is just trying to hopefully drive the price up slightly by hoping someone falls for his fake "first and top prospect" ask.

Standing his ground on not trading Anderson is probably pretty easy. Without significant retention he won't be traded.

Zero chance Hughes retains on Anderson or anybody else for 4 years.

Exactly. That's why he has no intentions of trading Anderson. Without 4 years of heavy retention, or taking an equal amount back in bad contacts, Anderson is almost impossible to move.

So MTL fans go from a 1st for a guy that hasn’t played in almost 2 months to a 2nd, 3rd and one of COL’s best prospects. Yeah no.

I wouldn’t want my team trading for Anderson so I agree with that. But usually where there’s smoke there’s fire.

Oh, I can see some GM possibly trading for him, but it isn't going to be for a 1st and top prospect like so many Montreal fans believe it will be. It will be something that makes sense with Montreal taking back bad contracts or something to that affect.

I might stop being a Flames if that happened, definitely would hate Treliving forever after if he did that. Yikes 😱
