On Wednesday, The Leafs are facing the Blackhawks.

I think the score will be something like Blackhawks 11, Leafs 2. It's how the team works

Actually Leafs love playing Chicago just ask former hawk Kampf

Hes scored either the game tying or winning goal

And ironically Hawks sparked the Leafs almost perfect Nov last season

What benefit does Toronto have with getting another top 6 forward. Feel like they need quantity, not quality.

With Simmonds waived Leafs will have 3.4mill in cap once he clears per puckepedia

Meier at 50% costs 3mill

So if they get him then yes no cap room but wait a minute Kerfoot's still on the team. Include him in the Meier deal and Leafs all of a sudden can have more cap to fix the B6.





Basically think

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Meier-JT-Nylander
Barbashev-Acciari-Jarnkrok
Engvall-Kampf-Holmberg/Anderson/McMann/ZAR/etc

Then in the summer Dubas can either trade Nylander or extend and trade Meier and get a nice return like what we saw with Tkachuck or Kessel

There's not really a reason to change LTIR rules, if players are out long term, they should be able to go on LTIR, only thing i could see happen is a "playoff salary cap"

Just noticed something.

Jakub Vrana has played only 39 games in total for the Red Wings.

Anthony Mantha has 101 games with the Capitals.

I'd still say WSH seriously overpaid for Mantha, but by the same token it's fair to say that they dodged a bullet to some extent.
